Master smith of Eregion, maker of the Three Elven Rings

Celebrimbor was the greatest smith of the Second Age, lord of Eregion and maker of the Three Elven Rings. Deceived by Sauron in fair guise, he forged the Rings of Power with him — but made Narya, Nenya and Vilya alone, untouched by Sauron's hand. He died defying Sauron when Eregion fell.
